Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia and RGUTIS discussed the plan for further cooperation

On March 1, 2018 Igor Korotin, Director of the Department of Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activity of the RF CCI, took part in the meeting of the Academic Council of the Russian State University of Tourism and Service.

In his speech, he noted that the issues of practical cooperation between the RF CCI and RGUTIS are being implemented within the framework of the joint annual work plan aimed at the development of domestic and inbound tourism. Since 2015, the RF CCI is actively cooperating with the Russian State University of Tourism and Service in this direction. In particular, RF CCI jointly with RGUTIS organized the 1st and 2nd All-Russian conferences "Promotion of Regional and Commodity Brands of Russia" and the All-Russian Conference "Regional Tourist Brands - Synergy of Success", round tables and webinars devoted to issues of domestic and inbound tourism. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation acts as an official partner of the RGUTIS in carrying out international professional tourist competitions in which regional tourist companies are actively involved.

On behalf of the leadership of the Chamber, Igor Korotin presented the RGUTIS rector Alexander Fedulin with the diploma of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for his great contribution to the training of highly professional cadres in the sphere of tourism for Russia and the regions and in connection with the 65th anniversary of the educational institution.

The participants also discussed the results of the session "Investing in tourism: attractive segments of the industry, preparation for the 2018 World Cup" held by Rosturizm, the RF CCI and the RGUTIS, within the framework of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, joint activities to support domestic and inbound tourism, including a project championship in the sphere of tourism.
